Hi! I'm TwistyKris! I'm a variety caster on Twitch :)
Most people call me Twisty! I've been streaming on Twitch since April of 2015. I enjoy playing indie games, multiplayer games, and games that allow me to do the voice-acting for them. I also do Creative perler streams on Mondays. My community is all about being welcoming, positive, and accepting.
I'm from Western New York and have lived here my whole life. I enjoy playing games, listening to music (favorite artists are Beats Antique, Gorillaz, Matt and Kim, and Meg Myers), and hanging out with my community, the Twisty Family. I've been married to my husband (dubbed "Mr. Twisty") for 5 years :)
I hope to get better as a gamer, but also entertain those who are coming in to see gameplay, and even if I'm not good, they still enjoy watching! I want viewers to keep coming back because they find me fun to watch, not necessarily for gameplay.
Currently streaming: My Time at Portia, Overwatch, The Jackbox Party Pack 4, The Sims 4 Best: Kindergarten, The Jackbox Party Pack 3, Outlast, The Forest, Garry's Mod, Tales from the Borderlands
I hope to create a nice, relaxing space where people can come in and watch someone work on perler art for a few hours. It's therapeutic for me and I aim for it to be that way for viewers as well.
I made my Tier 1 emote, twisty1Love, out of perlers, as well as the TwitchUnity logo. While not very big, they're my favorite pieces and hang on my wall to be seen on-stream.
I enjoy IRL, because I'm allowed to just sit and talk with my viewers without having to focus on a game. It allows me to do a vlog-style broadcast, while just being fully immersive in chat and listening to nice music. I'm not really looking to achieve anything in particular, just a nice place to hang out and chat!
We talk about a variety of things; our days, work, school, how we're feeling, exciting plans coming up. I start my Wednesday streams with IRL or Talk Show and I announce what game I'm giving away that day, while giving viewers a chance to vote for what game I play later that day.
In Talk Shows, I look to achieve a place where people can come and talk about certain topics. One thing I've recently done is give streaming advice, and allowed people to promote their streams and ask questions about streaming aspects.
Lately, I've been discussing streaming topics. The Affiliate Program, how to get into streaming and how to gain an audience and community.
Not at this time, but I am open to that idea.
I like being able to provide a pleasant experience for the streamer- by keeping chat in line- and for the viewer- by being interactive and involved in discussions. I'm honored to have a streamer believe that I am worthy of being a moderator on their channel. I used to watch a streamer who had upwards of 60 viewers a stream, and I liked helping to answer questions and hanging out. He asked me to be a mod, since I was "there all the time and a good viewer" and I was surprised and honored. I helped keep his chat in line, answered questions, and became a close friend to the streamer. Even though he no longer streams, we're still in touch years later.
I enjoy being able to help streamers when they ask for something (like a shoutout, a command, updating the game/ title, etc.) and I enjoy being someone that viewers can look up to when they have a question or need something.
I love being welcomed in like I'm more than just a name in a chat. When I pop in a new stream or a streamer where I'm a regular, I love saying hello and everyone else in chat greeting me, and the streamer greeeting me as well. It makes me feel special, wanted, and like I matter. I have a lot of good memories as a viewer, but some of my favorite memories are making the streamer laugh until they cry, donating to them or the charity they're raising money for, and sharing great memories.
Top Partnered Streamers: Kintinue, FrankthePegasus, Vio, Lucidfoxx, Cheesewiz, LittleSiha, SinfullyRiddling (Meg) Top Affiliate Streamers: Louflu, Ramentea, TrailMagic
I've watched all of these casters for over a year, most for over 2 years. I enjoy being in their streams for the amazing communities, the fun, the positive atmosphere, and the friendships I've formed with most of them.
